Editing Transcript Properties

Properties refer to identifying information. For example, you can change the type of witness, the title of the transcript, and the name of the plaintiff.  

To change the properties of a transcript:

  1. Right-click (click the right mouse button) the transcript whose properties you want to change. A context menu opens.

  2. Click Properties. The Transcript Properties dialog box opens.  

  3. Make changes as necessary.

Fact Witness, Expert, Court Transcript, Other: Click the radio button that best describes the transcript being added to E-Transcript Manager.  

Last, First: Type the last name of the fact witness or expert.

Note: The Last and First fields are not editable if you do not click the Fact Witness or Expert radio buttons.

Date: Type the date of the proceeding. Do not type today's date. Type the date of the proceeding.      

Time: Type the time when the transcript was produced.   

Reporter: Type the name of the court reporter who transcribed the transcript.

For Plaintiff: Click the For Plaintiff option if you are taking the transcript for the plaintiff.

For Defense: Click the For Defense option if you are taking the transcript for the defense.

Taking Attorney: Type the name of the deposing attorney.

Plaint: Type the name of the plaintiff.

Case: Type the name of the case.  

Title: Type the title of the transcript.

Vol.: Type the volume number of the transcript.

Job: Type the name of the job.   

Def: Type the name of the defendant.

Num: Type the case number.

  1. Click the OK button.
