The simple search documented in this topic is most useful when you know which transcript a word is in, and you do not need to generate a search report for saving, printing, or e-mailing.
Use the following procedure to find words or phrases in a single transcript:
In the Project Tree, click Transcripts.
In the Details pane, click the transcript to search. The transcript opens in the Display pane.
On your keyboard, press Ctrl+F (press and hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and then press the F key at the same time).
You have the following options:
In the Find what field, type the word or phrase that you want to find.
Select the Match whole word only option if you want the search to turn up only matches that match the exact words that you type. For example, if you type hand, the search does not return results such as handwriting.
Select the Match case option to find only those words that match what you type in upper case and/or lower case.
Select the Up option if you want to start your search going up in the transcript from the starting point. Select the Down option if you want to start your search going down in the transcript from the starting point.
Click the Find Next button to begin searching.
When you find the word or phrase, press the F3 key on your keyboard to search for the next occurrence.
