When a transcript is available offline, you can work on it while traveling, and the people who remain at the office can work on the transcript as well. The essence of synchronization is that when you return to the office and synchronize the project, all of your edits are included with the updates made by people at the office while you were gone.
If you choose to make a transcript unavailable offline, the only time you can work on it is when you are connected to the network where it resides. Making a transcript unavailable offline only affects you; other people can still take the transcript offline to work on it.
If you want to take only a few transcripts when you travel, you may want to deselect all but the ones in which you are interested.
First, check to see if project synchronization has been activated. Look at the name of the project in the Project Tree. If synchronization is activated, you will see a colored arrow (usually blue) pointing down from the left of the project icon, as shown below:
If project synchronization has not been turned on, right-click the project name and then click Project Synchronization, as shown below:

After synchronization has been activated, you can make transcripts unavailable offline.
Use the following procedure to make a transcript unavailable offline:
Click Transcripts in the Project Tree. Binder lists the available transcripts in the Details pane.
Right-click a transcript in the Details pane. A right-click menu opens.
Click the Available Offline button.
RealLegal Binder removes the arrow from the icon to indicate that the transcript (Clements, Claire - Vol. I) is unavailable offline.
The transcript is now unavailable offline. To reverse the procedure and make the transcript available offline, right-click the transcript again, and click the Available Offline button again.
