Using the RealLegal Binder Conversion Utility, you can convert projects from Sanction, Summation, and LiveNote into Binder projects. You can also convert Binder projects into LiveNote projects.
Start the RealLegal Binder Conversion Utility. You can launch the RealLegal Binder Conversion Utility from two places:
From the Windows desktop, click Start, click All Programs, click RealLegal Binder 7.0, and then click RealLegal Binder Conversion Utility.
From within Binder, click Tools, click Launch, and then click RealLegal Binder Conversion Utility.
The RealLegal Binder Conversion Utility dialog box opens:
Click the Browse button. The Source Project dialog box opens where you can select Summation, LiveNote, Sanction II, or Binder projects.
The definitions and uses for the Files of type are as follows:
Portable Case Format Project (*.PCF): Click this option to create a Binder project from a LiveNote PCF project.
Sanction Project (*.MDB): Click this option to create a Binder project from a Sanction project.
Summation Project (*.CI): Click this option to create a Binder project from a Summation project.
LiveNote Project (*.INT): Click this option to create a Binder project from a LiveNote INT project.
Binder Project (*.PXL): Click this option to create LiveNote project from a Binder project.
Click the appropriate option in the Files of type drop-down list and then click the Open button.
Click the Next button. The Project Conversion dialog box opens.
Click the Browse button to select a name for the converted project. You can use the suggested name or type a name of your own. Be sure not to overwrite any existing files. That is, if necessary, type a new name for the project. Click the Open button after you have selected or typed a name.
Click the Finish button to convert the project.
You have the following options:
Click the Log button to save a log file of the conversion process. The log file list the name of the project you converted, the name of the project created, and notes if there were any problems.
Click the Again button to convert another project.
Click the Close button if you are finished converting files.
