Search Identifying Information

Clicking an item in the Project Tree enables you to execute a search based on the item's properties. For example, when you click a transcript in the Project Tree, you can search for a transcript based on the name, date, type of transcript, comments about the transcript, or the volume. Likewise, if you click Documents in the Product Tree, you can search for a document by the prefix, exhibit number, transcript, title, or type. Additionally, the Clear button allows you to clear the search and start over.

The procedure below assumes you are looking for identifying information pertaining to transcripts in the Binder demo project; however, you can use the technique described to find transcripts in any project.

  1. Click Transcripts in the Project Tree. Binder lists the available transcripts in the Details pane. Notice as well the Find field above the listing of the transcripts.

In this example you are looking for the word contamination in the Comment field.

  1. Click the Find field and type contamination.

  2. Click the In drop-down list and click Comment, as shown below.

  1. Click the Find Now button. Binder lists the transcript that has contamination in the Comment field.
