Creating a New Project

It is recommended that you create a new project in RealLegal Binder for each case or matter. To create a new project:

  1. Select File à New à New Project from the menu bar. The Create New Project dialog box opens.

  1. In the Save in field, navigate to the folder in which you want to save the project. RealLegal Binder creates a default folder called Projects under which you can choose to save all your projects.

  2. Type the name of the project in the File name field. The file type for projects is always .PXL. Double-clicking a .PXL file launches RealLegal Binder.

  3. Click the Save button.

Note:  If you have selected Project Synchronization, the application prompts you to synchronize the project. Click the Yes button and continue with step 5.

You are prompted to enter a user name and password for the project. All projects are protected with user names and passwords.

  1. Type a password in the Password field. If you do not want RealLegal Binder to prompt you for your user name and password each time you open the project, select the Remember my user name and password option.

  2. Click the OK button. A blank project is displayed in the RealLegal Binder window.

Note:  You may want to import issues from old projects to keep from having to perpetually re-create issues. Click the following link for instructions: Importing Issues.
