DENVER (October 5, 2004) - RealLegal, LLC, a developer of court reporting, litigation and practice management software, has announced E-Transcript Manager 7.0, which simplifies archiving and retrieval, increases the legibility of transcripts, and includes new technology to manage the production queue. E-Transcript Manager software is used by court reporters to provide attorneys with standardized, secure and signed E-Transcript files with guaranteed page and line integrity.
The new version of E-Transcript Manager offers several new print options for full size and condensed transcripts, word indexes, errata sheets and dictionary reports. Users can apply specific properties to different elements of the transcript, such as printing page numbers, line numbers and timestamps in a different font size or type than the testimony. Users can also include visual markers in the transcript like bolding the “Q,” the “A” or speaker name so testimony is easier to read. In addition, the new version enables users to print a specified group of pages with one set of properties, and print another set of pages with a different format.
The E-Transcript Manager interface now operates like Microsoft Outlook, allowing staff to immediately see which transcript orders need to be completed or to mark a previously “read” transcript as “unread” to return it to bold and visually cue staff for client delivery. For example, new transcripts received from RealLegal Reporter Edition, an auxiliary program, are shown in bold to indicate they have not been processed, while a new “Received” column tracks when the transcript was received for processing. E-Transcript Manager 7.0 also includes a Project Tree for instant access to current or archived transcripts as well as a Transcript Preview Pane for immediate viewing of the selected transcript.
E-Transcript Manager 7.0’s Quick Search feature automatically searches the selected archive folder and returns only the transcripts matching the keyword search criteria. In addition, the new Advanced Find tool lets users select any or all archive folders, simultaneously search for any field such as witness name or case date, and instantly pinpoint a short list of matches. Additional features in E-Transcript Manager 7.0 include:
- The ability to display a digital rendering of your actual signature when you apply an E-Transcript Signature,
- The ability to merge two different files for the same day of testimony to generate a single, combined transcript,
- Options to enable recipients of E-Transcript files to save the file as Rich Text Format (RTF) for Word and WordPerfect users,
- The ability to connect E-Transcript Manager software with every freelance court reporter’s computer via Reporter Edition. This provides a virtual pipeline to individual reporters to instantly submit transcripts and turn-in sheets for processing and delivery to clients. Reporter Edition includes the E-Transcript Editor that provides court reporters and their proofreaders with tools to edit a transcript and create a final.
