DENVER (July 29, 2004) - Aurora, CO-based RealLegal, LLC, which develops court reporting, litigation and practice management software, has announced the addition of RealLegal MediaSync to RealLegal Publisher, its discovery-bundling software. The RealLegal MediaSync module automatically synchronizes transcript text with corresponding audio and video footage. RealLegal MediaSync supports standard digital audio or visual formats. RealLegal MediaSync is available with the latest RealLegal Publisher Version 2.5, released this week.
RealLegal MediaSync aligns individual lines of text in a transcript with the spoken word and provides a streamlined method for court reporters to compile all elements of discovery for their clients.
RealLegal Publisher users can now synchronize directly from the same interface they already use to combine transcripts and documents. The synchronization process requires no special training or equipment. RealLegal MediaSync users simply input a few properties into a Wizard and then press a button. Synchronization is completed in mere minutes per hour of digital footage.
The synchronized transcript-to-media files created by RealLegal MediaSync will be embedded in the Publisher Bundle along with other transcripts and documents. RealLegal Binder transcript and document management also supports synchronized transcripts and their media files. The synchronized transcript-to-media files may also be viewed on the Web via RealLegal iBinder, which supports streaming media.
