Imitation technologies require the recipient to have purchased a specific software product. Video files that have been synchronized to transcripts can be included in a Publisher Bundle. When you open the transcript in the RealLegal E-Transcript Viewer, the video portion will play. RealLegal MediaSync™, embedded in Publisher 2.5+, automatically synchronizes transcript text with the video/audio footage from recorded depositions. MediaSync automates the synchronization process so that court reporting firms, legal videography agencies, and law firms can avoid expensive outsourcing that becomes cost prohibitive. Open the transcript in RealLegal Publisher and browse to where the video is stored (First transfer the VHS content to your computer via a video capture card and convert the footage to a standard digital media format such as .mpg, .wav, .avi or .asf). Transcripts begin with words that are not spoken on the video, such the names of the parties and appearances. Likewise, video often records the witness being sworn in, which is not captured by the reporter. Using the Time Tracker in the lower right-hand corner of the on-screen Video Player, and the line numbers in the transcript, your production team can pinpoint the exact "coordinates" at which synchronization should begin. Imaged (scanned) documents and exhibits, which are typically static when in electronic form, can now be converted to Optical Character Recognition (OCR) compatible files either during or following import into the bundle. OCR makes documents more useful for attorneys because it transforms the words on a scanned page into active and fully searchable content. RealLegal Publisher users can now automate and accelerate how they create hyperlinks between transcripts and documents in the Publisher Bundle. The new "Find & Link" instantly creates an active link between Exhibit ABC and every mention of Exhibit ABC in the transcripts. Hyperlinks can also be deleted, if necessary. While viewing the finished Publisher Bundle, recipients will see the hyperlink on transcript. When they click it, Exhibit ABC will automatically launch within the RealLegal Image Viewer. Publisher Bundles can be delivered via compact disc or via a secure RealLegal iBinder Web repository. Upload Publisher Bundles and then assign secure logins to your clients. They can only view and download the files from their case! RealLegal Publisher software seamlessly integrates with RealLegal E-Transcript Manager and RealLegal iBinder. Every Publisher Bundle includes three powerful viewers: The popular E-Transcript Viewer. Here are a few examples of what this viewer enables users to do: Jump from keywords in the index directly to that instance of the word in the transcript. Our patented, Hyperlinked Word Index makes it possible. Perform word searches across the transcript using the familiar binoculars button. Print full-page or condensed transcripts and word indices. Control the on-screen display of the transcript. Schedule a deposition via the authoring court reporter’s online DepoSchedule page, which is accessible directly from the transcript. The RealLegal Image Viewer. Here are a few examples of what this viewer enables users to do: A Hyperlinked Word Index is automatically generated when Optical Character Recognition (OCR) compatible documents are added to a Publisher Bundle. Rotate the on-screen orientation of an imaged document. Zoom-in on a portion of the imaged document, or zoom-out to fit the full document within the viewer. Use "Best Fit" to optimize how the document is displayed on screen. Scroll through multi-page exhibits. Print exhibits. The RealLegal Video Player. Here are a couple of examples of what this viewer enables users to do: Select Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind and Fast Forward just as one would on their VCR or DVD player.
