The E-Transcript Viewer is for viewing PTX files created by E-Transcript Manager. Court
reporting firms use E-Transcript manager to convert their ASCII files into either
E-Transcript executable files, those that end with .exe, or E-Transcript PTX files,
those that end with .ptx. The PTX format was created for 2 main reasons. The PTX format
is smaller, thereby taking less time to transmit via the internet and less storage space,
and since it is not an executable file, it will pass through email systems that block
executable files.

Once you have downloaded and run the Viewer, you can receive AND RUN E-Transcript PTX files.
This E-Transcript PTX format provides functionality that far surpasses that of an ASCII file.
You can view, search, print full-sized and condensed, and print a word index for your
transcript. Additionally, the PTX format is not executable. If your email system doesn't
allow executable E-Transcript to be delivered via your email, this is the perfect solution.
